Our girls for adoption

These girls are presently at my home and are also listed on PetFinder (as are the boys):

Sicero, an agouti-hooded mama, is a big, healthy, alpha lady. She has a great attitude and is very active and smart. She is fearless and has put two other alpha rats in their place. Two of her daughters, Brunette (older) and Magenta (younger and smaller) look just like her, though you can tell them apart. Magenta is a sweet little rat, nowhere as alpha dominant as her mom. No need! And Blondie was her nanny, when Sicero had her second litter (she came in pregnant), Blondie looked after the young ones all the time. Blondie is hooded like her mom and sisters. Brunette is Blondie's litter sister, and she just does her own thing. They are all confident and like to get in your business, but they are not troublemakers. Note: Blondie and Magenta have gone to a foster home together. That is how they should be adopted - they seemed like a natural pair.

Then there's Bess. Bess is a black self (all black), very small, a little shy and independent, but not in a not-get-along kind of way. Bess likes to "tooth" your fingers but never bites. She's also easy to catch when she's out exploring, and it didn't take her long to learn her name, to which she responds. She was a mom, too, as she came in to the SPCA with 12 little ones, some of them very fancy (the boys were adopted through us, the girls through the SPCA. When she was alone, we went and got her).

So, if you're interested in adding to your ratty family, please consider one or a pair of these girlies! To integrate with elderly ladies, I recommend Bess or one of the younger girlies - Sicero may intimidate older rats. She has certainly been the boss of mine; but I've got a coven of 5 going on that are quite happy in their old age.

And just a note: we have two elderly boy rats, 26 months old, very squishy, cuddly, and healthy enough that they could be adopted to anyone who loves oldies as much as I do. They are not advertised as there often are younger rats in need (like the two we have on PetFinder, and the litter that came in to the SPCA recently). But it's just a note in case you're that special person.

We have 5 dwarf rabbit cages for sale for $25 - one is white, and three are beige and brown - and there is another at one of our foster homes available, colour may be white but I can't recall. Also, a white chinchilla cage, which is also available for $40.

Smaller cage prices are very reasonable - $12, 15, and 20.

Hamster balls - $5 or best offer, after all, we have 4! Same for brand-new mouse ball.
